Inner Space Techniques

IST – the Inner Space Techniques are a set of meditation and healing techniques based on the inner space of meditation. IST sessions are an interactive practice designed to access deep states of subconscious know how and explore the things that are stopping you in life. This form of regression therapy is used to get to the source of emotional reactions, resolve blocks, and reconnect you with passion, joy, creativity, intuition and your own higher presence. 

Emotional reactions stifle the flow of life force and can cause degradation of our etheric and physical bodies, as we release the charge behind them we become healthier, happier and free to live life fully.

At the intersection of spirituality and psychology IST offers a unique approach to a number of issues modern people deal with. Many of us suffer from stress, anxiety or depressive tendencies due to unmet childhood needs, trauma, accidents, or the burdens of our ancestral and societal patterns (including racism, misogyny and environmental destruction).

IST helps the client directly access subconscious levels of their psyche. This is where patterns formed in childhood and through traumatic experiences (samskaras) are stored. In the third eye space a bridge between conscious and unconscious knowing is opened and the client is invited, through a series of questions, to explore what is happening there. Vivid visions and memories can unfold right in the first session.

Often the mere act of revisiting and feeling an episode from the past in this deep way allows profound transformation to happen. Events which were traumatic in the past can be experienced from your current, more mature perspective and integrated. The practitioner holds a space of compassion and acceptance, which infuses the client with love and well being, helping to integrate even highly charged episodes. Repressed desires can be acknowledged and given appropriate outlets. Deep hurts can be unpacked and resolved at their core. Delicate, lost parts can be reclaimed. Vitality returns as heaviness is released.

In the process of IST the client also develops the ability to perceive subtle energy within their own body and in the world around them. Spiritual seekers, energy workers, health care professionals, lovers and parents all benefit from clearing out old patterns and seeing more clearly the truth of who they are and how they operate. 

Most people leave the IST session feeling renewed and like they have regained important parts of themselves. It is important to be open and gentle for the days following as the energetic shifts continue to integrate.

The Inner Space Techniques were developed by Samuel Sagan in the Clairvision School. Clairvision is a school of meditation created in 1987 in Australia and now has centers and students all around the world. The school offers in-depth training to make meditation really work, with the emphasis being on direct experience, not just theoretical knowledge.
